I was sceptical at first as I'd never heard of Goldfish and also never really dabbled with VoIP beyond Skype, but the whole process has been brilliant. The phones (Grandstream GXP1400), although budget are excellent but, the thing that surprised me more than anything is the call quality and functionality is spot on. Calls are crystal clear and never have any problems.

Our engineers were made aware of a problem accessing Soho66 services shortly before 8am. Our engineers have tracked this down to an internet DNS problem, which has now been resolved. All services are now fully restored. If your phone is still not registering and unable to receive calls, you will need to reboot your telephone. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Following on from a brief outage this morning affecting all calls, we have moved our VoIP services to a backup server. This has resolved the problems that customers were having making / receiving calls. However, at the moment, voicemail and conferencing services are still inoperational. Our engineers are working to resolve this as a matter of urgency and, should be working before 10:15am. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. 10:05AM - All services are now up and running as normal.

10:15 - We have become aware that incoming calls are currently suffering disruption to our VoIP switch from the PSTN network. This has been identified as an issue with our carrier and are currently liaising with them to restore service as a matter of urgency. The outage will only affect incoming calls and faxes. Outbound services are not affected and, Goldfish customers are still able to dial other Goldfish customers, as these calls are not routed through the PSTN network. The affects of this disruption is that there is a delay on some incoming calls before the call arrives at the Goldfish VoIP switch. Sometimes, this delay can be significant. Goldfish apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and will continue to update this page as / when the problem is resolved. 10:22 - Following our own testing of dialling Goldfish numbers through the PSTN network, the problem appears to be resolved, although we are awaiting for official confirmation from our carrier

This morning, at approximately 7am, there had been a problem with receiving calls on some Goldfish numbers. This was identified as a fault with one of our carriers. After liaising with our carrier, service was restored before 8:45. Only inbound services had been affected and, disrupted both Voice and Fax calls. All outbound services continued to work as normal. Goldfish apologise for the inconvenience that this may have caused.

The Data-centre where our servers are housed have advised that there will be scheduled maintenance carried out on the primary networking circuits between 08:00 and 17:00 on Saturday 30 July 2011. There is a small risk of disruption to Soho66 services during this period. However, backup networking circuits are in place in the Data-centre so any disruption experienced should be absolutely minimal.

We have recently been made aware that there is a power outage in the Hardware Exchange, based in London. Although we don't envisage any problems and, have had no reports of problems as yet, we have been advised that some networking systems may be running at reduced capacity until power is restored. A handful of customers may find that, on incoming calls / faxes, a busy tone is experienced during this outage. However, there have been absolutely no reports of this as of yet. We will keep you updated through this page of any developments.
